Dynamic colors make your room much interesting

Complimentary color theme is selecting two colors which lies opposite to each other in color wheel.

This theme works well as it give a dynamic look to the room.
Best three combinations of complimentary colors are
1.       Blue and orange
2.       Red and green
3.       Purple and yellow

The three traditional sets of complimentary colors,  red and green, yellow and purple, and orange and blue. You can see them positioned opposite one another on the color wheel .
Complementary colors, when used together in color schemes, are especially dynamic and pleasing to the eye. This is because different types of cones (the photoreceptor cells in your eye that contribute to color vision) perceive different colors of light. If you stare for a long time at a block of color and then quickly look at a white wall, you'll see a light after image in the opposite, or complementary, color.
For example, let's say you're staring at a blue square. after a while, the cells in your eye that process blue light will become fatigued, making the signal they send to your brain slightly weaker. Since that part of the visual spectrum is slightly suppressed, when you look at a white wall after staring at the blue square, you'll see a faint orange afterimage. What you're seeing is the white spectrum of light from the wall, minus a tiny bit of blue, which your brain processes as orange.

It means that combinations of complementary colors are especially dynamic together, since they play up each other's intensity. A small amount of orange really elevates in a blue room (and vice versa) because  eye wants to see that color.

Selecting a simple and elegant color scheme for your room

A Monochromatic color scheme is using a single color for the interior of a room. In this type of scheme various darker  shades, grey tones, and paler tints of the main color may be included in the palate. In addition one color is often paired with white or another neutral.

For example, A monochromatic room in purple might use single shade of purple paired with white.
yet it might also include dark purple upholstery fabric, pale purple walls, medium purple draperies.
Designing room around a monochromatic color palette. Doing so, it is a simple way to bring a touch of elegance to interiors.

Since monochromatic designs have such a relaxing effect, it's often utilized in spaces that need an extra calming boost.

Single color spaces are often the subject of heated debates. Some think they are too simplistic to be worthwhile. But when done correctly, We can attest that they are simply elegant.

Samrat Yantra - enormous equinoctial sundial

The Samrat Yantra, constructed by jai singh at jaipur, sometimes called “Supreme Instrument” is an equinoctial sundial of enormous proportion. Not too different from sundials which had been developed hundreds of years earlier, the Samrat Yantra is important because it measures time to a precision that had never before been achieved. The Samrat Yantra at Jaipur, for example, is capable of measuring time to an accuracy of two seconds.

How it works?
The parts of the Samrat Yantra are
1. The gnomon, a triangular wall with its hypotenuse parallel to earth’s axis
2. A pair of quadrants on either side, lying parallel to the plane of the equator.
On a clear day, as the sun passes from east to west, the shadow of the gnomon falls on the scale of the quadrant, indicating local time.
A sundial gives the exact time for its particular locality only, a formula to obtain standard time is used that compensates for the longitude difference between the instrument location and its time zone.
